Vacation Rock

Indie rock with a disco beach feel

Austin and Houston Texas based indie-rock band, Sol y Motion, announce their debut, self-titled album in the Summer of 2023. A record that is a testament to the Klein brothers various influences and experiences over 7 years as a band. Genre blending and cohesive indie-rock. This new sound is surprisingly nostalgic and energetic. Some call it Vacation Rock!

Sol Y Motion arrived into the scene with 3 single releases of 2022. Songs ‘Do You Know What I Mean’, ‘Vibin’, and ‘Time’ set the vibe for what’s to come in 2023. A vibe that is thanks to Augustus Young, the projects’ producer, sound engineer, co-writer, and great friend of the Klein’s. Through Gus and 5th street studios, Sol Y Motion were able to add all the sounds of the big band they’ve always wanted. Virtuosic saxophone, powerful vocals, inspiring piano, and jazzy guitar were all in their heads upon conception, but made possible by players like

Colin Hoolihan, Mark Scott, Luke Thiessen, Pearson Keating, Alyssa Harris, Wolfgang Burst, Aaron Reecer, and special thanks to Jackie Johnston.

Nick Klein on lead vocals and guitar, Thomas Klein on drums/percussion, and Chris Klein on bass and keys. Brothers and their father together in a tightly knit band. Starting off, the brothers as kids joined their father on-stage for church bazaar gigs and sporadic dive-bar shows. From that, a passion to perform and create was instilled in the young brothers. Sol Y Motion was finally created in 2016 and after years of finding their sound, the debut album is ready for the world to see! Join the Klein family for the summer of 2023!
